This July, the Grand National circuit returns to one of pulling’s most historic towns for three nights of NTPA competition at the Macon County Fairgrounds.
The lights come back on July 16–18, 2026.

With momentum behind it, the Show Me Showdown is entering a new chapter - one that honors its origins in Macon, Missouri. After decades, this iconic event is officially returning to the NTPA Grand National circuit in 2026. This isn’t just a schedule change; it’s a full-circle moment that reconnects the Show Me Showdown
2025 PRO PULLING LEAGUE • PULL OF THE YEAR
Last season, the Show Me Showdown took the stage under the Pro Pulling League banner and delivered a show that felt every bit like a national stop, firmly establishing itself among the top Macon Missouri events. With deep classes, packed grandstands, smooth production, and a full weekend of horsepower, fans were captivated from the first hook to the last.
The attention to detail on the track, the quality of machines that rolled in, and the overall execution of the event did not go unnoticed. At the Hot Shot’s Secret Pro Pulling League Championship Banquet in Louisville, the Show Me Showdown was awarded 2025 Pull of the Year, recognizing Macon as the premier event in the league and further solidifying its place in Show Me Showdown history.
This prestigious award wasn’t just about a single night of success, it reflected the hard work of volunteers, sponsors, pullers, staff, and a community that consistently shows up big for pulling events. It marked a major milestone in the event’s modern chapter and proved the Show Me Showdown can stand alongside the biggest events in the sport, including the NTPA Grand National.
